Maple Pecan Granola

Homemade maple pecan granola is a simple, mildly sweet homemade granola recipe made with pure maple syrup, shelled pecans, whole oats, olive oil, and a pinch of salt.
Servings: 6

Ingredients

  • 3 cups whole oats
  • 1 cup shelled pecans
  • cup maple syrup
  • 2 tablespoon olive oil
  • ½ teaspoon salt

Instructions

  • Add all of the ingredients together in a mixing bowl. Mix well.
  • Spread onto a parchment paper-lined baking sheet. Bake at 350℉ (177℃) for 20 to 25 minutes.
  • Let the granola cool for about 30 minutes.

Notes

  1. Substitutions:
    1. Use equal parts honey, brown sugar, or agave nectar as a substitute for pure maple syrup.
    2. Instead of shelled pecans, use walnuts, sliced almonds, or cashews.
    3. Quick oats are NOT a good substitute- use whole rolled oats.
    4. Substitute coconut oil, butter, or avocado oil for olive oil.
  2. Storage: Store homemade granola in an airtight container for up to 2 weeks.
  3. There's no need to stir the granola while it's baking. In fact, it's better to leave it while it bakes and cools so the granola clumps together.
