Lebanese  Vermicelli Rice

This easy vermicelli rice recipe just needs four ingredients: olive oil, rice, vermicelli noodles, and water.

You can use any rice, just adjust the liquid ratio. The recipe post gives ratios.

Add olive oil to a pot on medium-high heat. Add the vermicelli pasta.

Stirring continuously toast the vermicelli until a deep golden brown.

Add the rinsed rice.

Mix the rice so it gets coated with some residual olive oil. This helps it not stick together.

Add the water (or broth) and salt.

Boil the rice until the liquid is flush with rice (about 5 minutes).

Turn the stove to low and cover. Cook for 7 to 8 minutes until the rice is tender.

Turn off the heat. Fluff. Cover and let steam for another 5 minutes.
