Kafta Bil Sanieh (Baked Kafta with Potatoes)

Kafta bil sanieh is an oven-baked spiced minced meat with potatoes, tomatoes, and vegetables in a tomato sauce.

Make the kafta meat mixture by adding minced garlic, chopped onions, ground meat (lamb or beef), chopped parsley, and spices to a bowl.

Mix the meat mixture really well. 

Add an egg and breadcrumbs to the kafta meat mixture. 

Mix with your hands really well.

Grease a baking pan. Press the kafta meat mixture into the center of the baking pan.

Leave the edges of the baking pan empty. 

Layer pre-roasted potatoes, onions, and bell peppers.  

Add sliced tomatoes on top.

Prepare the tomato sauce mixture.

Pour the tomato sauce on top of the kafta and potatoes.

Bake the kafta bil sanieh at 350 ℉ (180 ℃) for about an hour.
