Egg white oatmeal is a delicious, quick and easy 5 minute high-protein oatmeal recipe. You can't taste the egg whites!
This fluffy egg white oatmeal is made with egg whites, quick oats, mashed banana, a pinch of salt, cinnamon, and honey.
Start by separating the egg whites from the yolks. Break the eggs into a bowl. Using a slotted spoon, remove the egg yolks delicately.
In a stovetop pot, add the quick oats and water.
Bring the oats to a boil and cook for about a minute or until the oatmeal thickens up.
Reduce the temperature of the stovetop to low. Whisk in the egg whites continuing to stir for about 15 seconds to 30 seconds until the oatmeal turns white.
Once the oatmeal turns white, remove the pot from the heat.
Whisk in the cinnamon, mashed banana, honey, and pinch of salt.
Pour the egg white oatmeal into a bowl and garnish with fresh fruit, nuts, shredded coconut, chia seeds, or anything other topping.
