Homemade Beef Sambousek

Sambousek is spiced meat stuffed into a pastry, then fried until golden. It's a delicious appetizer that's freezer-friendly.

In a frying pan, brown the beef and chopped onions. Add the spices. Set aside.

Make the dough (or use store-bought pizza dough). Roll the dough out and cut out palm sized circles.

Spoon the minced meat mixture onto the dough.

Make a crescent shape by folding over the dough.

Pinch and twist the edges to seal the sambousek pastry.

Prepare all of the sambousek pastries. Freeze some if you like.

Heat up some oil. Add the sambousek in batches so as not to overfill the pan.

Fry the sambousek on both sides. Remove from the oil once they reach a golden brown.
