Homemade Lasagna Noodles with a Pasta Machine

Homemade lasagna noodles are very easy to make using a pasta machine. They are fun for the whole family, and turn your lasagna into something really special!

This homemade egg pasta dough is made with three ingredients: whole eggs, flour, and salt.

Make a well with the flour.

Crack the eggs into the well.

Using a fork, whisk the eggs. Gradually add in flour.

Once the eggs are mixed into the flour, a dough will form. Knead the dough by hand for about 10 minutes until smooth. If the dough is dry, wet your hands and continue kneading.

Lets the dough rest for 30 minutes. Split the dough into even sections. Grab a helper to turn the pasta machine hand crank!

Roll the pasta dough through the widest setting on the pasta machine. Do this a few times until the dough is smooth.

Rotate the knob on the pasta machine to a thinner setting. Continue running the pasta sheet through the machine until it gets thin and long. 

Once the pasta sheet has gone through the final setting, dust the lasagna sheet and let it rest on the counter. Boil the lasagna sheet in water for about 1 to 2 minutes prior to using in lasagna.
