Homemade french fries are made with three ingredients: frying oil, potatoes, and salt.
Peel the potatoes.
Slice the potato into similar sized fries.
Heat the frying oil in a high rimmed pot. Once it's hot slowly drop the fries in. Don't overcrowd the pot.
Don't mix the fries while there are a lot of bubbles. Once the fries start to change colors, mix them once.
Once the fries have turned golden brown and floated to the top, remove them with a frying spatula.
Line a plate with paper towels. Drop the fries on top. Sprinkle with salt.
