Chicken shish tawook, aka Lebanese grilled chicken kabobs, is a delicious skewered kabob made with marinated chicken and grilled to perfection.
The key to delicious chicken shish tawook is the marinade, which is made up of lemon juice, pomegranate molasses, ketchup, mashed garlic paste, yogurt, olive oil, 7 spice, allspice, and white pepper.
Cut the chicken breast into chunks. Add the Lebanese seven spice, allspice, white pepper, and mashed garlic.
Add the olive oil, plain yogurt, lemon juice, ketchup, and pomegranate molasses.
Mix all of the ingredients together well. Marinate the chicken for a minimum of 2 hours (or overnight) for the best results.
Skewer the kabobs leaving a little bit of space in between each piece of chicken. Alternatively, add some chopped vegetables in between each chicken chunk, like onion and bell peppers.
Grill the chicken kabobs, turning them a quarter turn every few minutes. Serve with a side of Lebanese toum garlic sauce and homemade french fries.
