Fried Pita Chips 

These golden fried pita chips with sea salt are quick, easy, and delicious. 

Homemade pita chips take only 10 minutes and need three ingredients: pita bread, frying oil, and salt.

You can use any type of pita bread. The pita bread shown here is Lebanese style pita. Split the pita bread, separating the top and bottom halves.

Stack the pita bread halves on top of one another. Cut the pita bread into 2" squares using kitchen scissors. Alternatively, you can tear the bread with your hands.

Once all of the pita bread is cut, heat up the frying oil on medium heat.

Don't overheat the oil because the pita bread fries relatively quickly. Add the pita bread squares to the oil once the oil is hot.

Remove the pita chips using a slotted spoon once they turn golden.

Place the pita chip on a paper towel lined plate to drain the excess oil. Salt the pita chips.
