The Perfect  Pot Roast Recipe

This fork tender pot roast is the perfect pot roast recipe. Beef roast is slow-simmered for 3.5 hours on top of herb infused vegetables.

This pot roast recipe is made with beef chuck roast, baby carrots, celery, Yukon potatoes, and sliced onion.

The flavor makers for this top roast are sliced garlic, a bay leaf, salt, pepper, olive oil, fresh oregano, and fresh rosemary.

Salt and pepper the roast. Sear both sides of the roast in olive oil until the meat caramelizes. Remove the roast from the pan.

Add the chopped vegetables and sliced garlic to the pot. Continuing cooking for about a minute.

Add the roast on top of the vegetables. Pour in the liquid. Place the fresh herbs on top of the roast. Add salt, pepper, and a bay leaf. Bring the roast to a simmer and cover.

Slow simmer the roast for about 3.5 hours or until the meat can be shredded with a fork.
